Lifting Shackle – All Types for Different Applications

G209 Screw Pin Anchor Shackle

The G209 Screw Pin Anchor Shackle is a widely used bow-shaped shackle with a bolt-and-pin structure. It allows installation and removal without additional tools. Compared to types that require nuts and cotter pins for securing, it is better suited to work scenarios that involve frequent connection, disassembly, or replacement of lifting equipment.

The bow-shaped body has a larger internal space, which can connect steel wire ropes, lifting slings, chains, and other rigging of different specifications, and is not easily affected by changes in the connection angle. This structure is also more flexible for hoisting operations involving forces in multiple directions or with many connecting parts.

The G209 Screw Pin Anchor Shackle provided by Jerryborg Marine is manufactured using a high-strength forging process, ensuring a tight fit between the shackle body and the pin and smooth thread insertion. Each batch of products undergoes dimensional and visual inspections as required to ensure more reliable connections and facilitate subsequent installation and maintenance for customers.

G2130 Bolt Type Anchor Shackle

The G2130 Bolt Type Anchor Shackle features an arc-shaped structure, making it more flexible when connecting wire ropes, shackles, or other rigging. Unlike the Screw Pin series, it uses Bolt, Nut, and Cotter Pins for fixation, resulting in a more stable connection after installation.

Many projects do not frequently remove, inspect, or replace shackles after installation, so it is desirable for the connectors to remain fixed for a long time. For this reason, the Bolt Type Anchor Shackle has always been a common product in long-term use conditions, and it is also the type of shackle that many marine projects choose.

G210 Screw Pin Chain Shackle

The G210 Screw Pin Chain Shackle features a D-shaped structure, with a smaller overall width than the Anchor Shackle, making it more suitable for connection methods subject to linear forces. Many projects use this type of chain shackle when the space at the connection points is limited, or when it is necessary to maintain a consistent direction of force.

The screw pin design makes the assembly and disassembly process more straightforward, eliminating the need for additional locking accessories. If the chain, wire rope, or other connectors need to be replaced later, on-site handling will be easier. Therefore, many projects that require repeated disassembly and reassembly choose this model.

G2150 Bolt Type Chain Shackle

The G2150 Bolt Type Chain Shackle is a D-type safety shackle with a triple securing structure consisting of a bolt, Nut, and Cotter Pin. After the pin is installed, it needs to be locked with nuts and cotter pins. It is not easy for the pin to loosen due to long-term vibration or continuous force. Therefore, this type is chosen for many long-term installations or locations that do not require frequent disassembly.

The D-type body is mainly used in working conditions where the connection direction is relatively fixed. After the chain, wire rope, or other connectors are installed, the force will be more concentrated. Compared with the bow-shaped shackle, which needs to accommodate multi-directional connections, the D-type structure has a more compact internal space and is more suitable for the actual use of many fixed connection points. The G2150 Bolt Type Chain Shackle is a common type of shackle used in port equipment, ship mooring, lifting and hoisting, and general industrial projects.

G209A Alloy Screw Pin Anchor Shackle

The G209A Alloy Screw Pin Anchor Shackle is an upgraded version of the G209 model made of alloy steel. It retains the advantages of flexible bow-shaped connections and convenient screw pin installation, while also meeting the demands of higher load conditions.

Although some projects also use anchor shackles, as equipment tonnage increases, ordinary materials can no longer meet the new load requirements. At this point, many customers will continue to use the familiar G209 structure, but switch to the Alloy Steel version, so that while maintaining their usage habits, they can also adapt to more demanding working environments.

G2130A Alloy Bolt Type Anchor Shackle

The G2130A Alloy Bolt Type Anchor Shackle combines Alloy Steel material with a Bolt Type locking structure. Compared to ordinary anchor shackles, it can withstand higher loads, is more suitable for long-term fixed installation, and is less likely to affect the connection status due to vibration or continuous stress.

Its bow-shaped structure allows it to connect various spreaders and rigging, so many large marine projects, port engineering projects, and long-term mooring systems use this series of products to ensure stable connections while meeting the demands of complex working conditions.

G210A Alloy Screw Pin Chain Shackle

The G210A Alloy Screw Pin Chain Shackle is made of Alloy Steel and retains the D-shaped structure and screw pin connection method. Compared to the standard G210, it can handle higher load requirements while maintaining the ease of installation and quick disassembly.

This combination is quite common for projects that require frequent disassembly and assembly, while also needing to maintain load-bearing capacity. Many lifting sites require adjustments to rigging configurations based on different working conditions. Screw pin structures can improve replacement efficiency, and alloy steel can provide a higher safety margin.

G2150A Alloy Bolt Type Chain Shackle

The G2150A Alloy Bolt Type Chain Shackle belongs to the Alloy Steel D-type shackle series and uses Bolt, Nut, and Cotter Pin fixing structures. Compared to ordinary chain shackles, it is more suitable for use in locations subject to long-term stress or critical connections and can maintain a more stable connection state during long-term operation.

The D-type body opening is relatively narrow, and the chain is not prone to large left-to-right swinging inside the shackle after connection. Therefore, this structure is used in many fixed connection positions. For working conditions where the same force direction is maintained for a long time, the D-type shackle is more in line with the actual connection method and is commonly used in marine engineering, port equipment, and heavy lifting projects.

Wide Body Shackle

The biggest difference between the Wide Body Shackle and the regular Anchor Shackle is that the bow space is wider. The larger internal width allows for the connection of larger slings, multi-strand steel cables, or other large rigging, while also reducing localized compression at the connection points.

For some heavy lifting projects, the connectors often need to not only withstand large loads but also allow sufficient room for the rigging to move. Therefore, many large-scale hoisting, marine engineering, and special lifting projects choose Wide Body Shackles instead of ordinary shackles.
